I got a call this afternoon from one of our hired men, Chris Cornish. He said he needed me to come down to the Twister Bins to shut off the auger. He said that his pant leg was stuck in the bin sweep auger, but that he didn't think he was cut up badly. Wow...did my heart ever stop. When I got to the bins I didn't know what I would find or how to turn off the auger. Luckily I found a key and was able to turn it off. Chris cut himself loose and crawled out of the bin. What a lucky guy that nothing more happened than a torn up pant leg and small cut on his leg. It just reminds you of how dangerous farming really is.
